Ancient Ponies Farm is a small permaculture homestead in Shutesbury, MA. Here, mother-daughter pair Sharon and Zoe Weizenbaum have been working hard to realize a vision for their 13 acres in which the land both provides for their survival needs and is made healthier in the process. At the same time, they are eager to share the beauty of their home, animals and gardens with their community and hope that the site could provide an opportunity for others to learn about permaculture and what it means to live off the land.
The farm is the link between healing ourselves and the earth. There is no separation between the health of all beings. |
2023 WorkshopsThe Pioneer Valley is FULL of one of the richest resources you could imagine. Sprinkled throughout this beautiful valley are a treasure trove of local homesteaders, builders, crafts people, farmers and permaculturalists, each with their unique skills to share. This workshop series will aim to link YOU with these educators as they help you to acquire your own homesteading skills. Starting in May and continuing all the way into November Ancient Ponies Farm will host full and half day classes on everything from seed saving and low-cost season extension to basic honey bee management! All of these workshops will focus on learning by doing as each teacher leads you and your classmates through a hands on project.
